BlockWallet’s main goal is to provide users with a secure and seamless experience that does not sacrifice privacy for functionality or vice versa.
The wallet operates as a browser extension with full ERC-20, BEP-20, and PoS tokens (Polygon) support, as well as Web3 compatibility.
BlockWallet works by using smart contracts to pool the users' funds together. Funds are deposited into the smart contract and can be later withdrawn to a new address. zkSnark technology allows users to prove that they have funds deposited into the contract. Every time you want to withdraw your funds, BlockWallet creates a new wallet address for you containing the amount of cryptocurrency you requested. Transfers are mixed within the pool to ensure that they remain anonymous and untraceable at all times.
Your privacy increases with each transfer made using BlockWallet. Pending withdrawals are committed to an Anonymity Set. This is a measure of anonymity, as the larger the set, the wider the scope of potential depositing addresses. As the number of transfers increases, so does your privacy.
BlockWallet is built on already existing solutions that have been proven over time. Sensitive material such as seed phrases, private keys, and account data is securely stored in your browser’s local storage. No application, website, or provider can access this data, leaving users in total control of their wallets. Secret information required for zkSnark withdrawals is also stored locally and tied to your seed phrase, minimizing the potential areas of attack.
